The responsibility of any diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) professional is educating organizations more broadly about a simple truth – we all have an opportunity and responsibility to help drive diversity, equity, and inclusion for change within the workplace. A large part of this journey is creating organizations and cultures where employees of color/Black employees are empowered to bring their authentic selves.
No matter where you sit on an org. chart, or your title, building diverse and inclusive teams and products is everyone’s responsibility and opportunity. But what is personal to each of us is how we build our personal brands and the stories we want told about us and our contributions. In this talk, Shareka L. Nelson, Head of Employee Experience, Inclusion and Development, will explore philosophies and tactics around leadership authenticity; sharing best practices and actionable steps for individuals to create cultures where you can be your best self.
